I want to be able to open a web page and view it like I can in Front Page. To be able to highlight different parts and be able to pull out the html. (Basically Google screwed with my home page, and I know some html, and want to be able to pull the part they screwed with out and make my own). But Front Page 2003 seems out of date as I keep getting a bunch of script errors, and the html page wont load correctly.. Any Ideas?

  1. What can help a lot is to download Mozilla Firefox

    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Now you save the web page that you want to edit.

    press CTRL + S.

Now when you're done saving the page, open it locally.

At the same time, have a copy of the page opened up in

notepad, or your other favorite text editor.

(You do this by just opening it on your desktop, or wherever

you told Firefox to save it to)

Now find the part of the page you want to change.

    (in Firefox)

Hi-light that part of the page, right click, and click on

    'View selection source'

Firefox will open up a page that tells you the code of what you

    just hi-lighted.

In notepad, find that code, change it to what would suit your needs

better, save the page in notepad, and then refresh the page.

It should take about 30 seconds per change, so you'll have your

personalized page in a few minutes.

  2. Dreamweaver works fine for me! You can click through the tabs, html, preview etc. I love it. Its expensive tho...

  4. Dreamweaver is a pretty popular program for making web sites. You don't even have to use HTML but you can if you want to pin down some specific things.
