  1. It depends on whether you got 2 ohm or 4 ohm DVC subs and how you want to hook them up.

    Generally speaking though, Aside from the actual cost of the amps, Running two amps like this usually means you need to buy extra stuff for your install... Namely distribution block and extra ground leads etc. Just a little expense.

    If you have 2 ohm DCV subs and you run the VC's in series and the subs in parallel, you can present your sub with a 2 ohm load, delivering 500watts rms  to each sub from the single M1000. Definitely adequate power to each.

    your other option, if you have 4 ohm DVC subs is to run the VC's in parallel to present a 2 ohm load to each M650, running 600 watts to each sub. This is actually a little excessive for these drivers.

    Of course, if you have DVC 2 ohm voice coils, you could also run your voice coils in series, presenting a 4 ohm load yo each m650 amp. It would only give you 400watts rms/channel, but if you were h**l bent on running two amps, you could do this.
