I lit my foot on fire (at school) and almost got suspended for it. Told my parents i didn't do it.

that when they were away in san diego, we(me, my older sister and brother) had a party and they asked me if we did and i said we had a BBQ and then my parents found out we had a party but they weren't mad...

and yes there was beer at the party, but i didn't drink(i'm 15)

Well, I was going out with a guy and my father “caught” me… and suddenly I was the black sheep of the family, they said I betrayed them and that I have lost my honour and stuff like this… they quickly found a young man of their taste (not a bad guy at all though) and forced an engagement neither him, nor me wanted.

Then I lied to my parents and made them believe that we were going to marry as soon as possible, BUT that I had to finish my studies and that I had such a good possibility to do it in an university abroad (USA) and that my to-be in-laws & husband wished that I studies abroad and as soon as I have finished studies I would return and a big marriage would take place.

I lied and said that I was so fond of my to-be husband and so happy and that all I wished was to get married soon…

Guess what, I went away and DID NOT GO BACK TO INDIA.

It took me over 15 years to set my feet again in India. I returned when I was already married (with somebody of my personal choice of course)…

Yes, this was a very fat lie.

Would I do it again?

Yes, without even thinking twice. Thanks to this fat lie I am standing on my own feet and living MY LIFE.

Did I feel bad for doing what I did? Yes of course, I missed my family and I felt very sad about it, but I always knew that I needed to do what I did as otherwise I would have denied myself for the rest of my life.

Do I get well with my parents nowadays? Yes I do, we do… my husband, my daughter and me…

Nobody wants to lie, but sometimes we do not have any other possibility to survive…

that i found monay on the school floor when really i took it out of some girls  pocket
