Question:

Whats the brown bit on top of the apple for?

im always abit worried when eating one when its got that brown bit on.

is it because its mauldy or something? :/

because even when im picking some out at the store its hard to get ones without it on.

  1. Its the stalk o.O

    you know, the bit where it attaches to the tree....? its not moldy..

    just don't eat it unless you like eating wood xD

    Its the part where the apple was attached to the tree while it was growing.

  3. Apples grow on trees...it's the stem where it was attatched to the tree. On the opposite end is the blossom where it once was a flower that grew into an apple. You really don't eat that part but it won't hurt you.
