  1. Only fraternal twins are genetic through the mothers side of the family.

  2. Your father's side has no impact on your chances.  With your mom's side, how close are they?  Her mom?  Her sisters?  Etc.  If your mom was a fraternal twin, or her mother gave birth to fraternal twins, or you were a twin (fraternal) then you would have a much higher chance.  Fraternal twins are the only ones that pass down the generations!  Good luck!

  3. Your chances of having twins is pretty good!  Much better than most.  I know a lady who has twins only on her dad's side and gave birth to twins.

  4. You have a good chance because of your mothers side. Your fathers side has nothing to do with it.

Only non-identical twins run in the family, so if women on your mothers side that are blood related to your mother have non-identical twins then you have a raised chance, otherwise no. Identical twins happen by complete chance.
