It's hard to give a good answer without knowing where you are (if you're in Pensacola, flights from Miami aren't much use) but assuming you're in the Miami area, the rock bottom cheapest flights are on Spirit Air from Ft Lauderdale to NYC for $9. I'd try airtran and book well in advance if you can.  You can also search multiple airlines though sites like yahoo travel - sometimes you get a good deal there too!
