Whats the cheapest way to run a heatpump ?

is it cheaper to keep it on 24/7, or half the day,or just when u need it?and why?

Never change the temperature during non occupied times with a heat pump. They are only able to make up slight changes in temperature. If the difference is too great, they have backup electric systems that kick in and will really cost you alot of money. Find a comfortable setting and leave it there. Never ever use a programmable thermostat with a heat pump.
