Whats the deal with JUNO?

I just saw this movie after months and months of having people try to talk me into watching it ... it got to the point where I was expecting the best movie I have ever seen but then I saw it ...

Okay what the heck ... that man (the adoptive dad) was sooo creepy ... he was a pedophile!!! I was so uncomfortable watching the part where he is dancing with Juno and he gets all close to her ...

Was anyone else creeped out by this?

I was creeped out, the first thing that popped into my mind was the movie Hard Candy (also staring Ellen Page, the chick that played Juno)

He wasn't a pedophile...

The point of the scene is that Mark Loring never wanted to be married and grown-up to begin with. He missed the days when he could pursue his rock star dreams. His wife made him pack all his stuff into that one room.

Juno made him feel like the "cool guy" again, and he responded to that in the scene where they dance.

it was a weird movie. i thouht it would be great film but i was pretty dissapointed with it. Yeah that adoptive dad was creepy. but it was a weird movie all together
