  1. really, dont do that!! They are not lax about it at all, i know 3 seperate people who were arrested for that! Highly unadvisable..

Why dont you move to amsterdam? As well as all that, its a beautiful city with great health and working conditions and the dutch are really friendly...lots of english speaking jobs... i think its a great place :))

  2. Bringing weed anywhere is a bad idea. It's not worth it.

  3. I really wanted to bring some back, but my hubby wouldn't let me.  We flew out of Brussels, though (took a train there and stayed 2 days), so it may have been different if we flew out of Amsterdam.  But, they didn't check anything or ask any questions.  Our layover was at JFK in New York and they were so busy we went right through there, too.  I was wishing I had brought some back...lol.

  4. In Amsterdam weed is legal.  On New Years Eve you are guaranteed a contact if you are inside anywhere.  Amersfoort is a great place to shop if you ever make it that way.

  5. International smuggling.   Don't do it.  You'll regret it big-time if you get caught.

  6. Use and possession in The Netherlands is not being considered a big deal.

But, trying to take it over a border can get you in huge trouble.

Detection? Well, Drugsniffing dogs for one - no matter how well you think it`s packed - these dogs WILL find it.

The UK is possibly a bit more relaxed, but France - no way.

For those that still propagate the LIE that drugs are legal - wake up!

Just because it`s tolerated, does NOT mean it is legal.

Those that say it is, obviously have never been to the Netherlands.

People are allowed to use it, have it - as long as certain rules are followed:

    - Never more than 5 grams in your possession.

    - Do not sell it to others (considered dealing)

    - Do not cause trouble while having used any

    - Do not smoke it in public places.

  7. you can't bring it back, it must stay in that country. It is legal there, and only there, and some parts of canada.

  8. Ya know.. after reading your question, I suddenly remembered why its called DOPE.

Just because its legal in Amsterdam, doesn't mean the rest of the world is "lax" about possession of controlled substances.. hmmm, maybe thats why they're called "controlled substances" ?

Remember those commercials... "This is your brain... this is your brain on drugs"

  9. While weed is not acted against when buying or using within the Netherlands, if you keep to certain rules that is, exporting is seen as drugs trafficking.

France has many prison cells for people coming from the Netherlands, they loose all the drugs, including space cakes, have to sit out a jail sentence and on top of that they will have to pay duty, fine and interest on those for the assumed value of the drugs.

And the 'official' price of drugs in France is rather high.

So if you want to stay in France for a couple of years, try bringing in drugs.

The sniffer dogs are addicted and in 'need' of a shot, they will get the smallest sniff and no way to hide it.

England has the same kind of sniffer dogs, and I have seen them many times, and while they might not charge duty and fine on top of that, the prisons are not empty at all.
