  1. Go nuts. Spit out the reg when the tank is run dry though. I assume you're having your nap in bed above the surface and using normal compressed air. There's no worries about the nitrogen contained in that tank, when used on the surface. It's exactly what you're breathing now. The nitrogen contained in it, is only an issue when you're taking it in, when your body is under  more than one atmosphere of pressure and then you move to an area of lesser atmospheric pressure ( the surface). In bed, on the surface, you're only at one and not making any appreciable pressure change.

The only danger I can foresee, is you not spitting out the reg when you run out of gas. You'll wake up, I imagine, and spit it out. Falling out of bed could hurt too.

  2. If you are not underwater then it will not be a problem.

When you are underwater, you are at an increased pressure.  Since the body does not use nitrogen, you body will just absorb more nitrogen due to the increased pressure.  Staying underwater, you body will absorb more and more nitrogen until it reaches equilribium with the surrounding pressure.

If you reamin underwater, this is not a huge deal.  Once you start ascending is where the concerns start.  As you ascend, you will be under less pressure.  Due to the lower pressure, the nitrogen that your body absorbed will start to come out of the tissues.  If you come up slow enough (possibly with decompression stops), the nitrogen  will come out of your tissues into the bloodstream into the lungs and will be exhaled as you breathe.  If you come up too fast, the nitrogen can form larger bubbles and start causing serious problems.

This is the very basics of scuba diving and nitrogen.  I recommend you take some scuba classes before trying any of this.

  3. Nitrogen the gas can get into your blood and while it might be the best sleep of your life you might not wake up or suffer from what we call nitro poising.

  4. Sleep in full SCUBA gear??  In the water or out?  Can't do it in the water without having access to surface supplied air.  Since you're asking this question, I figure you don't.  So you'll be limited to maybe two hours - about enough for a short nap.

Out of the water, it'd be like sleeping in a snow suit.

The nitrogen question has been answered well by others.  However, shallower than about 30 feet, it's not really an issue.
