Whats the defference between a timneh african grey and a cango african grey?

are they the same except for color and size and stuff like that...like do they live the same age about and are their vocal skills the same?

  1. You have all the right details. Yes, they are basically the same bird with the exception of size and color. They both live between 50 to 70 years in captivity. Because of size and color the Temneh is often pushed aside in favor of the Congo African Grey but really, they are worth every bit as much. The good news is that they are sold for less money, so take advantage of the fact that most CAG owners are willing to pay a bundle more for the flashy red tail.

    they are pretty much the same except the timneh has a burgandy colored tail where the congo has a bright red

  3. Congos are larger, with brighter tail feathers. Timnehs are smaller, with a patch of pink  on the beak and darker feathers overall.
