  1. You throw the ball.  You hit the ball.  You catch the ball.

    Sometimes you win.

    Sometimes you lose.

    And sometimes it rains.

  2. Baseball is a sport played by 2 teams. The home team are on defense and the away team are batting first. There are 9 people playing in the game. The 1st basemen, 2nd basemen, shortstop, 3rd basemen, right field, center field, left field, pitcher, and catcher.

Pitcher: The pitcher is in the middle of the diamond. They throw the ball to the catcher to strike the batter out.

Catcher: The catcher catches the ball from the pitcher and also cover home plate.

During the game, there are 9 innings. The top of an inning are when the away team are batting and the bottom of an inning is when the home team is batting. A batter gets 3 strikes or they are out, 4 balls or they are walked. If the batter gets hit by a pitch, its a walinningthe team gets 3 outs, the inning is over.

If the batter hits a foul ball then it is a strike. If the batter has 2 strikes, he can keep hitting foul ball and he will still has 2 strikes.

Runners are the players who are on bases. They can steal but they can also get out. Stealing is a wonderful thing in baseball by the way. If theres a runner in 1st and you are in 2nd. No matter what if the batter makes contact to the ball you will have to run unless if he hits it to outfield you have to tag up. When the outfielder touches the ball, then you get to run to another base but you don't have to. If the batter hits a grounder, then you will have to run to 3rd if your force.

If the batter hits a ball over the fence then that will be called a homerun. The batter has to run around the diamond. Every runner in bases you'll get an additional point. If the batter hits it to outfield and bounces over the fence it will be called a ground ruled double. If a fan makes contact to the ball when its still at play then I don't really know what would happen. Hope you understand it.

  3. A cork nucleus is encased in two thin rubber layers. This is machine-wound with 121 yards of four-ply blue-gray wool yarn, 45 yards of three-ply white wool yarn, 53 more yards of three-ply wool yarn--this time blue-gray in color to denote the stage of manufacture, according to Rawlings--and 150 yards of fine white polyester-cotton blend yarn. This "center" is coated with rubber cement before the cover is put on.

The cover--two pieces of elongated figure-eight-shaped white cowhide--is dampened to permit stretching and hand-stitched together with exactly 216 raised stitches, using 88 inches of red cotton thread. The last step in the process is rolling the balls for 15 seconds while still slightly damp so the seams are even and reasonably flat.

    The discussion behind this answer:

A baseball is made up of 4 main layers. At the center of the ball is a rubber core. Around the core is a layer of cork. Then twine is wrapped around the core. Over the twine is stitched a layer of leather that makes up the cover of the ball.

Baseball is made up of a rubber core and cork which is the size of a quater. Than the ball is wound with yarn to how thick the ball is in circumference. A white dometic hide is used to cover it and red waxed stiching stiches it together.

A baseball is made of a rubber core, yarn to give it its thickness, and then a tightly rapped layer of string so that yarn under it doesn't make the ball lumpy or soft, and then the leather cover stitched together with waxed red string.

A baseball is made of yarn wound around a core of rubber and cork. The covering of the baseball is made of two strips of cowhide sewn together. An official baseball must have a circumference between 22.9 and 23.5 cm and weigh between 5 and 5 1/4 ounces (142 and 149 grams).

Today, instructions to the manufacturer call for the cork nucleus of prescribed weight (0.5 oz) and diameter (2.86 to 2.94 inches) to be encased in two thin rubber layers--one black, one red--weighing a total of 7/8 oz. The "pill," as it's called, is machine-wound under high, consistent tension with 121 yards of four-ply blue-gray wool yarn, 45 yards of three-ply white wool yarn, 53 more yards of three-ply wool yarn--this time blue-gray in color to denote the stage of manufacture, according to Rawlings--and 150 yards of fine white polyester-cotton blend yarn. This "center" is coated with rubber cement before the cover is put on. The cover--two pieces of elongated figure-eight-shaped white cowhide--is dampened to permit stretching and hand-stitched together with exactly 216 raised stitches, using 88 inches of red cotton thread. The last step in the process is rolling the balls for 15 seconds while still slightly damp so the seams are even and reasonably flat.

first a layer of cork, then a layer of rubber, them yarn, then cowhide with 108 double stiches.

on the outside is a layer of leather with lining, then there is rubber string then dark grey yarn, then white yarn, then lite gray yarn, than a layer of cork, then inside the cork is some rubber

I heard that baseballs had wool yarn inside, so I opened one up to see if it was worth trying to knit with. I probably should have read the outside of the ball before I tried that. It says "solid cork and rubber", and that's all that I've found inside. No yarn. It's a Rawlings Official League ball.

A baseball is made up of a rubber core, twine, cow hide, leather, string, yarn, and a cork! These materials are sewn together with rope or yarn. A baseball is also smaller than a softball therefore goes farther when hit, thrown, pitched, or rolled. I love baseball and softball. I play select softball for the Texas Blades! too!

its made of a small ball of string and it keeps growing then they stitch it...

  4. Baseball=

    a. "Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players each. The goal of baseball is to score runs by hitting a thrown ball with a bat and touching a series of four markers called bases arranged at the corners of a ninety-foot square, or diamond." -Wikipedia.

    b. "a game of ball between two nine-player teams played usually for nine innings on a field that has as a focal point a diamond-shaped infield with a home plate and three other bases, 90 ft. (27 m) apart, forming a circuit that must be completed by a base runner in order to score, the central offensive action entailing hitting of a pitched ball with a wooden or metal bat and running of the bases, the winner being the team scoring the most runs. " -dictionary.com

  5. Its grown men playing like little boys, trying to hit a round ball with a round stick.

  6. A game played with bases and balls

  7. In technical terms, it is a game of ball between two nine-player teams played usually for nine innings on a field that has as a focal point a diamond-shaped infield with a home plate and three other bases, 90 ft. (27 m) apart, forming a circuit that must be completed by a base runner in order to score, the central offensive action entailing hitting of a pitched ball with a wooden or metal bat and running of the bases, the winner being the team scoring the most runs. But in english, you and 8 of your teammates play 9 positions (right field, center field, left field, 3rd base, 2nd base, shortstop (between 1st and 2nd base), pitcher (thrower), and the catcher. Then once you get three outs (you can do this by either tagging someone out with the ball, beating a runner to a base they must go to, catching a ball that is hit before it reaches the ground, or getting 3 strikes on one batter) you can bat. Your 8 teammates and you take turns batting around. If you hit the ball, run to first base as fast as you can, then, if you hit it hard enough, go to second, and hit you hit it hard enough, and it goes over the fence, you get a homerun. Then you get a point for every person that touches home plate. I'm not sure what the exact number of innings are in little league, but i think it is somewhere between 5-7. But of course, there are 9 in the pro's. I hope that anwers your question.
