  1. Pubs serve meals bars dont...also youd be hard pushed to find a decent coctail in most pubs

  2. pubs are where guys watch football drink beer and get pissed and bars are where sophisticated people go and get a cocktail and have intelligent conversation

  3. bars are normally more fancy, they sell cocktails and often have barmen who do the fancy displays whilst making cocktails!

pubs are places that serve food and do a wide variety of tap beers....

  4. A normal bar is full of adults mostly men drinking and swearing talking about sport and telling jokes. Unfortunately pubs now are serving food and are full of children running wild while their parents guzzle down their drink and seem to have no control over them at all. My children learnt at an early age how to conduct themselves when out for a meal, it meant enjoying the food and having a conversation, not letting them run wild or shoving a game boy in their hand

  5. pub as restaurant but bar for cold drinks

  6. There is nothing about a pub which requires that it serve food.

The word 'pub' is short for 'public house', a premises licensed to serve alcohol to the public on entry. A pub is sometimes called a bar, but a bar can be the licensed premises part of a hotel, for example, which may not be open to the public as a public house ('pub') is.

  7. they both sell booze but if you want to get it right a pub is a public house were the person who owns it lets it be a place were persons (public) can enter and use the convinces eg.use the toilet take refreshment alcoholic or other wise or dine if applicable but a bar is associated with mainly booze and can also be part of a private members club that is were the 2 differ.you also can have a bar in your house were you use for your self ect. ect.
