Whats the diference of a psp 2000 to a psp 3000??is sony dumb or what.and will they have the same firmware?

the latter is newer and more expensive then the former thus the only difference my friend would be the price.

well in psp there is a home button but in psp 3000 there will be a playstation icon button just like the ps3 has it. it will have a better screen so when you play games you should be able to see the difference . it will also have built in mic for skype. It might come in few different color but not sure about that. i know everyone who buys a new product

The screen is much better (more contrast, better refresh, etc) - it also has a built in microphone for using skype (making phone calls). They will release a new firmware with it, but that will also be released for the other PSPs.

no achually the psps 3000 supports skype & allows you to make calls using wi-fi & also the psp 3000 is a lot lighter than the old psp's.

Right now the biggest difference they're highlighting is the much nicer screen. The photos of the two PSPs together show how much more vibrant and bright the 3000 is over the 2000. Also, the microphone will be built into the PSP 3000.
