Water Polo isnt like volleyball at all. Its more like soccer in the water. It's a rough game really. Personal fouls are a part of the game- you kick, you dunk, punch and you play dirty BUT ONLY WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE THE BALL. When you have the ball you have to play it clean because you're being watched by everyone. When you don't have the ball nobody's looking so fouls are rarely caught.

I had a guy who was fouling me (grabbing my feet and holding me while I was trying to swim to the other end of the pool) and he pissed me off royally. I turned and dunked him. He did it again so I dunked him again except this time when he fought to get free I grabbed ahold of his finger and bent it until I felt it break. I know it sounds terrible but that's nothing compared to the cracked ribs I got in my first game.

The hardest thing about the game is having to swim all the time. You arent supposed to touch the bottom- at least not when you have the ball. It's hard to get ther ball into the goal and it's hard to block. Try holding both arms up while treading water and you'll see what I mean.

Sure was fun though!

the water polo one is heavier and a little bigger. not very noticeable on the television though.

I dont know really. I've wanted to know the same thing. Maybe a water polo ball is lighter?
