  1. Vegetarians don't eat foods that require the life of an animal.  No meat and no slaughter byproducts, like gelatin, rennet, lard, meat broths, etc...

Vegans don't eat, use, wear, purchase or otherwise consume anything of animal origin (as far as possible) whether or not the animal died for it.  So, we avoid the same things as vegetarians, plus we don't eat eggs, dairy products, honey or other insect ingredients.  We also don't wear leather, suede, fur, wool, silk, down, feathers or pearls.  We source consumer goods (cosmetics, toiletries, etc) that are made without animal ingredients and without animal testing.  And we don't support industries that exploit animals for entertainment, like circuses or rodeos.

  2. a vegan is someone who doesnt eat meat, eggs, poultry or milk and a vegetarian is someone who doesnt eat meat eggs and poultry

  3. A vegetarian can still eat and drink dairy products and they can still eat eggs. Vegans can't.

  4. Vegans don't eat any animal products. Vegetarians just don't eat meat =]

  5. i think vegans dont eat anything from animals, i.e. cheese, milk, yoghurt etc because they come from use of animals.

  6. vegetarians don't eat animals, but in most cases still eat eggs, dairy, and honey.  Vegans do not eat anything that was made from any ingredient that came from an animal.
