  1. in meteorology cyclone is:   An atmospheric system characterized by the rapid inward circulation of air masses about a low-pressure center, usually accompanied by stormy, often destructive weather. Cyclones circulate counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere. it usually mentioned as a violent tropical storm, especially one originating in the southwestern Pacific Ocean or Indian Ocean.

while tornado is: a violently rotating column of air, in contact with the ground, either pendant from a cumuliform cloud or underneath a cumuliform cloud, and often (but not always) visible as a funnel cloud.

easily we can say that tornado is another type of cyclone that is born in thunderstorms. sometimes, tropical cyclones can produce lots of tornadoes depend on the condition.
