Whats the difference between DVD-R / DVD+R / DVD RW?

All i want 2 do is burn some movies to a disc so i can play it back on the DVD player

  1. Some machines only play DVD- others DVD+ and evenen others play both but the ones you stated DVDR is only usable once and DVD RW is able to be used over and over after you format it of course


  2. DVD-R and DVD+R are just two types of 'read only' discs, you can use either one no problem.  DVD RW is 'read write' meaning you can erase the disk and write something else on it many times.

  3. with DVD RW's you can overwrite erase any data whenever you want, and burn stuff and erase over and over again, with DVD R's you can only burn data to it once and thats it... for more info go to the link hope i helped!
