Whats the difference between JAA certificate and PPL in Aviation?

so that means that every flight school that showes JAA in the certificates sections means that u get ur ppl from there?

The difference between JAA and PPL?

PPL means "Private Pilots License" basically means a license that makes you able to fly light aircraft with your friends/family etc.

JAA is the Joint Aviation Authorities. It's basically what governs aviation in Europe, and is the equivalent of the American FAA

edit: a JAA certificate will basically be a certificate issued in Europe, or issued for used in JAA airspace.
