Whats the difference between MDMA and ecstacy?

Question

Some internet sites say its the same as ecstacy and some say it's different.

Is it in ecstacy but when you take it on it's own its just MDMA?

What is more dangerous?

Also if someone says about taking 'crystals' are they talking about crystal meth or a crystal form of MDMA?

Simply MDMA is the chemistry term for the active ingredient in the club drug ecstasy. Ecstasy is then cut with baby powder, ajax, sometimes heroin and any other number of agents. You never know what you are getting. Pure X is rare. Dealers make more when its cut down.

methylinedioxymethlamphetamine (sp?) or MDMA is the thing IN ecstasy that gives the effect. The e tablet itself is the MDMA mixed with whatever.
