Whats the difference between RCA and AV connectors? Or they're the same?

Just wondering because both wires labeled one or the other are shockingly similar to each other. Just wondering if they're the same or not.

  1. both types normally use (rca) the ausio cable is stranded,and the vidio is a solid core coper/or silver/high end 24k gold


  2. A/V (Audio/Video) IS the RCA Cables. The real name for them IS actually A/V Cables but we all refer to them as RCA Plugs.

  3. Old fashioned A/V connectors are RCA

    RCA is the type of AV connector.

    AV connectors can vary depending on your system, RCA is most common & universal.

  5. They are the same basically.  RCA connectors are AV connectors.

    AV is an acronym for "audio/video".
