Whats the difference between Xbox and Xbox elite?

There is no XBOX Elite. The XBOX was Microsoft's first gaming console. The XBOX 36 is Microsoft's next-gen system that is competing with the Nintendo wii and Sony PlayStation 3. The XBOX 360 has three configurations, Arcade, Pro, and Elite. The Elite is black and has a 120GB HDD. The Arcade and Pro are white. The Arcade lacks a HDD but has a 356MB memory card. The Pro has a 60GB HDD. They are all exactly the same internally.

Im pretty sure thats all the differences.

As for which one i recommend:

It depends on what you're going to do with it. If you're going to play online the Premium will be good. If you're NOT going to go online AT ALL, then buy the arcade.

I have the Elite and in my opinion the Hard Drive is too big. I have quite a few games, and I havent deleted the stuff i download from the marketplace and iv'e still got 90GB free space. So I wouldn't recommend the Elite.

If you're going to buy the Arcade console be sure you won't play online because if you go online with a 256MB memory card, you wont have space to download game add-ons etc. and therefore will have to buy a Hard Drive.

Also, if you have a HD TV, I dont think the arcade will work on it, but im not too sure about it.

The Elite has 120gs, has a HD cable, and cost the most.

The Pro has 20gs, cost the medium. (probly best deal)

The Arcade has no gs (have to buy a memorey stick), comes wit arcade games and cost the least.

There is no difference in the main hardware. The elite is colored black and has a huge hard drive, but that's about it. It doesn't have 'better graphics' or anything like that.

m-dogg is wrong about the graphics in the elite, its just that it includes an hd cable in the package. the xbox pro includes that as well(still normal white xbox but includes all that stuff like hd cable) so really the only difference is that it has a bigger hard drive and it is a large package of things. xbox pro has the same package, but not the hardrive

Get the  360 Pro.

They're both the same console just the elite has more memory. No one really needs that much memory becasue it will be really hard to use up. Buy the Pro (regular Xb 360). Same thing at the cheaper price.
