  1. They have different features!

  2. the picture.

  3. LCD and Plasma screens are different but it would take me all day to type out the differences and to explain it fully

go to howstuffworks.com it has a comprehensive explanation of  how these work and LOADS..... of other stuff

  4. ill sum it up short for you

plasma generally have a higher contrast ratio and are better for watching moveis and tv things like that, good for home theater. but they have pixel burn, say you playing a game and it has a stationary symbol of some sort if you play the game for say 2 or 3 hours you might start to see that symbol while your watching tv or something. but as long as you dont play it for too long it wont be permenant and it should go away in maybe 10 mins,

and LCD is better for gaming or using for computer monitors because there is less glare off of them, and you cannot get pixel burn with lcd's thats why there good for gaming and computer monitors.

and there usually weigh just a tiny bit less, but only buy a few pounds

    and the avg life of

    Plasma- 15-20

    LCD-20-25

    hope that helps =]
