Whats the difference between a Male cricket and a female?

How can you tell? do they have different patterns? or size?

  1. At the hind end of a cricket, the female has an egg-depositor. It appears straight out from the cricket, and is black.

  2. Usually females are larger than males and possess an ovipositor (looks like a stinger coming out of the rear). Ovipositors are used to lay and deposit eggs in different kinds of substrates.  Please see comparison links below.
