Whats the difference between a plain woman and a gorgeous woman?

Plain and goregous. I remeber the word plain from the book Sarah plain and tall. I knew I didn't want to be plain like her when I was a kid.

What is considered plain looks for a person?

A plain women is probably a lot less symmetrical than a "gorgeous" woman. Also, she is probably wearing less make-up (make-up helps to create symmetry) and less desirable clothes ( which can also help create symmetry).

A gorgeous woman stops you dead in your tracks and makes you do a double take.  A plain woman is just kind of there.  Plain and moderately attractive can be very s**y if she's the right type of person. Gorgeousness can wear off if a woman's attitude is ugly.

Her attitude. A woman who is confident and outgoing is more likely considered to be gorgeous even if she is not particularly attractive looking than a genuinely attractive woman who is not confident and shy.

A plain woman CAN easily become gorgeous with makeup, hairstyle, clothes, etc.

I can't stress how some people don't realize this..I look plain with glasses and a ponytail, but I turn heads when I go out when I let my hair down, put contacts in, makeup, skirt, and heels.

Yes, personality does matter. But if you're talking purely superficial, gorgeous women have their hair done nicely, have nice skin, carry themselves well, have a little bit of makeup on, etc. Once you take all of that off, some of those gorgeous women become plain, while some are still pretty.

I would say boring features, that aren't unique.  

People with great features, or ideal ones, and that are a little different looking to me a gorgeous.  

The people that have ideal features, but tend to look like everyone else, are just pretty, not gorgeous.

gorgeoua is what everyone is attracted too and someone i would personally stay away from. too much hassle.

Someone whose looks aren't out of the ordinary is plain, someone whose looks are striking - whether because they are beautiful or different looking or just very confident - is gorgeous. Sometimes the only difference is in attitude, and sometimes a woman can go from plain/average to knockout with just a bit of makeup and a new hairdo. My sister is a regular looking woman until she puts on some makeup. She's tall and thin and when she's got on even a dab of makeup, holy doodles she is stunning!

I think I am fairly plain much of the time. I'm going through the joys of morning sickness lately so I've lost a bit of weight, and now my face looks a bit too thin and I am pale some days, so I think I'm plain. But when I put on some makeup, actually brush my hair, and throw on some nice jewelery, I feel much better about my looks. And I think it really helps.

What is plain? Everyone has their own ideas of plain vs. gorgeous, although there seem to be some women who are universally regarded as plain while others, like Angelina Jolie, are usually considered stunning.

The difference is in the attitude.... how the woman sees herself is how others will see her.
