Whats the difference between a state, independant and a public school?

  1. The only difference is in the titles, what should not be different is the quality of its teachers and the education that's offered, i went to a state school and have my own successful business, my friend went to a private school and ended up a junkie, so you see it does not really matter what the school is its weather you want to learn and apply yourself to succeed.


  2. A state school is a free school, run by the government (usually comprehensive, sometimes a grammar school where you have to take a test to get in). A private (independent) school is where you have to pay a fee. Public schools are similar to private, but are the top schools in the country e.g. Eton, Rugby etc.
