Whats the difference between alimony and child support?

  1. Alimony is money paid to support the ex.

    Child support is money to support the child.


  2. Alimony is money you pay to your non-working lazy ex wife. Child support is money you pay to your non-working lazy ex wife that's supposed to be spent on your kids... But of course isnt.

  3. NO.  Big difference.   You want to fight alimony as it goes to the EX.  You want to pay child support to pay for your child/children.

  4. Alimony is paid to an ex partner who earns less than you.

    Child support is to pay for the upkeep of a child whilst the child is not living with you.
