Whats the difference between an iPhone and an iPod touch besides phone service

I know the iPod touch doesn't make calls or anything like that...what I'm wanting to know is does the iPod touch use the same methods of picture viewing, music listening, and video watching as the iPhone? I say an iPhone being used and loved how he zoomed in on photos with 2 fingers. I loved how he could just flick the screen and scroll...can the iPod touch do this? If possible, a complete comparison would be awesome!!!!

  1. The iPod touch and the iPhone use the exact same Operating system (software) so they work in exactly the same way.  You can zoom using 2 fingers, rotate pictures by rotating the device etc on both.  The only differences are hardware.  The differences are that the iPhone is obviously a phone but also it has a camera (only 2.0 mp though) and bluetooth.  Also the iPod has a higher maximum storage capacity (e.g. you can get a 32GB iPod but only a 16GB iPhone) and is cheaper because you don't have to pay a monthly contract.  But to answer your main question: The interface works in exactly the same way on both and they are both definitely worth the money.
