mp3 players only play audio

mpeg4 players play both video (mpeg4) and music (mp3)

mpeg4 players are better, although more expensive...

MP4 players can play videos. Mp3 players can only play music, photos, voice. I recommend mp4 players because of the other features. Mpeg4 players also play high quality vids.
