  1. The aviation kerosene is much better filtered.

  2. heating kerosine makes you warm and aviation kerosine makes you..............Fly!

  3. Heating kerosene is controlled for it's cetane rating to give a specific calorific value which is what they use in their billing calculations.

Aviation kerosene (of which there are many different types!) are controlled for other properties such as electrical conductivity, freezing point (An aircraft at 30k feet is at -56C) flash point etc to create a 'safe' fuel. different grades of Aviation kerosene have different properties, for instance, the variant used in military aircraft which are based on aircraft carriers has a higher flash point than civil Jet-A1.

  4. my understanding is that heating kerosene has more impurities, and creates less energy, while aviation kerosene is more refined and gives more energy. Aviation engines operate a very high compression ratios, while you kerosene heater uses the law of thermodynamics (temperature gradient) to deliver the fuel into combustion.
