Whats the difference between bodyboarding and skimboarding?

  1. Bodyboarding requires waves to ride.

    Skimboarding is like hydroplaning in very little water at the shoreline.


  2. Body boarding is like surfing except the board is shorter but you still ride the board like a surfboard however you don't stand  up.This is done in deeper water.

    There are two types of skimmboarding theres sand skimming which is done in the shorebreak along the sand and then there is wave riding which is where you start off on the sand and jump on the board and ride into the wave.Both types of skimming are done in shallower water and involve running and jumping on the board.
