  1. They both taste nasty and are full of artificial sweeteners which are worse for you than sugar - drink Coke Classic, it tastes so much better and is better for you.

  2. Diet coke and Coke zero both use the same sweetener, aspartame. Coke zero is supposed to taste more like regular coke and is marketed towards people who can't have regular sodas and don't like the taste of Diet. They're also targeting men who may feel like "Diet" soda is too girly. They're doing this in part by acting like it's a zero calorie regular soda.

I'd have to say they succeeded in making it taste more like regular. I love diet coke and hate regular coke. And well... I can't say that I care much for Zero either.

  3. Coke Zero's formula and taste is based on the original Coca-Cola formula.  When Diet Coke came out, it was it's own animal, and had a slightly different taste than regular Coke.  So Coca-Cola went back to basics with the taste of Coke Zero, and it is supposed to taste more like regular Coke.  In my opinion, I prefer Coke Zero over Diet Coke, hands down.  Try tasting them side by side and you can tell the difference.

  4. Diet Coke is sweetened with aspartame; Coke Zero is sweetened with both aspartame and acesulfame potassium. I like the taste of Diet Coke better, but for some reason it seems to have more aspartame in it, which gives me a mild headache. Diet Coke has a drier, sharper taste, whereas Coke Zero tastes, sweeter......but almost a cherry sweetness. It is good but after a while that phantom 'cherry' (chemically sweet) taste can be overwhelming.

  5. Diet Coke is based off the "New Coke" formula that was abandoned.

Coke Zero is based off the Coca-Cola classic formula.

Both diet sodas, they just taste different.

Coke Zero is infinitely better, in my opinion.
