Apart from being different places, what is the main difference between these 2 places, is the landscape similar, and is it the same little oldy villages, someone told me devon was more hilly.

  1. Cornwall is mostly fairly flat apart from round the coast, Devon is more hilly with Dartmoor rising to 1500 ft.  Away from the coast both counties have villages, pubs etc. There isn't that much difference.

Cornwall closes for the winter, Devon only half closes.

  2. The difference between Devon and Cornwall is the River Tamar. Devon is to the east of the river, Cornwall to the west.

  3. This is just my personal perception...

Cornwall seems quiet and more 'countryside'ish than Devon. It seems to rain a lot, and not have many big towns or seaside resorts (apart from Newquay) It has places like St Ives, which is pretty but a bit dull.

Devon has a lot of seaside towns, such as Paignton, Torquay and Westward Ho.

Personally, I prefer Devon. It's livelier and has 2p machines... what more does a person need?!
