Whats the difference between diffraction and refraction?

id like for you someone to tell me the difference between these two please. id like very strong but simple definitions so i can get them please.

Diffraction - interference of light due to bending around objects (through slits, around hairs, etc.)

Refraction - change in direction of light due to passing from one medium to another
