My local book website lists them as different editions.

  1. They are the same.  Both reliable and durable and much more preferable than paperbacks...in my opinion!

  2. To my knowledge, there's not, I don't know why they'd list them different.

  3. Both names can be used interchangeably. But, "hardcover" is the name publishers and agents use with greater frequency.

  4. They are the same thing, in my book that is.
