  1. Varsity is for the better players of any age for most schools (9-12) While JV is for mainly freshman and sophmores and sometimes Juniors.

  2. lmao

varsity is the best and jv is the level under

  3. It's not grade specific. Seniors can be on Junior Varsity if they are first year players. Freshman can be on Varsity if they are really good or the coach needs more bodies.

The better players make Varsity, the future players, who need more work and experience are on Junior Varsity.

  4. Varsity is open to all age levels, entry is dependent on skill. JV is for underclassmen, usually those not as skilled as the varsity level team. I'm a freshman and I was put directly on varsity, so age doesn't matter for that team.

  5. varsity is basically where the more advanced players are on in highschool and they can go to CIF if you live in california. everyone before me who put seniors are on varsity and so on. that isnt true really. theres a freshman in my highschool that made varsity, but he doesnt get that much playing time.

  6. Jv can only have fresh, soph, and Jr. Var can have any and Sr...

its also skill level... Jv is another way to prepair you for Var. if your coming from a middle school to play high school, its a big difference and can be overwhelming for a person. so they have them on jv so you can work your skill level up

  7. basically Varisty is the better team. it (usually) has the older players, and the more experienced.

  8. the athletic ability of the athletes, the speed of the game, proficiency of the players, and execution of plays.  Just the same game but played at a higher level.

  9. Junior varsity are the freshmen or the people that don't play good. While varsity are all of the people that play good in any grade.

  10. jv can only have freshman and sophmores and the varsity can have anyone...freshman, sophomores, juinors, and seniors.....it is rare that a freshman ever plays varsity but if they are really good than they can......but freshman almost always are on jv

***hope i helped and good luck!!!

  11. junior varsity: isnt as good as varsity

varsity: the best of the best and the oldest people

  12. Varsity team represents the highest level of your school, while junior varsity is like the development league in NBA where players are getting trained to reach varsity level.

Some coaches may want to play "bench" varsity players on JV team to get them more play minutes, and help them gain more game-time experience.

  13. JV is for underclassmen and V is for juniors and seniors

  14. my club coach always said that the only difference between JV and V is that the V people were chosen first.  it had nothing to do with their ability.

i think that JV is mostly for Freshmen and Sophomores who's ability isn't good enough to be on V.

  15. Junior Varsity team Can only have Fresh.. Soph.. and Jr.

    While Varsity can have Sr.
