  1. kb is a kilobit, used to indicate the size of files or volumes of traffic

    in abbreviations, the small b means bits, capitalized B means bytes.

    kps would probably be kbps, or kilobit per second. This is used to indicate the speed of a connection, or the maximum bandwidth of a connection.

    kB=one thousand bytes

    8 bits=1 byte

    one million bytes=megabyte(MB)

    kb/s is the speed the file is going(thousand bits per second)
