  1. I think pity can come from love, even the smallest trace of love. You might be thinking, "Well I can feel pity for my neighbor but I don't necessarily love him." But that would be the wrong interpretation of love. I think that when you are sympathetic to another, you are showing a form of love, and sympathy and pity are kind of one in the same. Even though you can look at pity as negative and sympathy as a more positive take on a situation, they are kind of the same.

  2. With pity you separate yourself with the one you pity.

With love you are together with the one you love.

  3. pity is when you feel sad for someone

and love is a strong affection  for someone

  4. The people who vote for Obama and the people who vote for poor old McCain. Bless his heart!

  5. Love(at least romantic kind) inspires passion and pity inspires compassion

  6. it depends on your definition of love.

pity: compassion for others who have endured misfortune or distress

    love: compassion for each other

love is often (for me) is two sided

    pity is often one sided

  7. Good question! It's a tough one...

Well, I supposed pity is a representation of love, and so love and pity sort of go hand-in-hand.

I suppose there isn't much a different, for to pity someone, you may have to care about them...
