  1. TV Guy is correct, both left and right channels are mixed together in a MONO audio, thus you do not get a left or right , but BOTH....


  2. Mono sound only comes from one speaker (usually left). Stereo sound is both speaker sound (right and left.)

    Stereo is a better quality than mono.

  3. Consider you have a stage with two people, one left and one right.

    Using stereo sound you can distinguish from which part of the stage sound comes (left or right)

    Using mono, you have no clue! So stereo sound increases your spatial perception of the environment.

  4. Mono is 1 channel. Basically sound being piped down 1 tunnel if you want to think of it like that.

    Stereo being down 2 channels.
