  1. peoples perception and preferance

  2. Music is a combination of specific fundamental frequencies and their harmonics which change relatively slowly in time relative to the periods of the frequencies.  Different instruments and voices produce different combinations of fundamental frequencies and harmonics which is what makes them sound different even though they may be playing the same note.

Noise is generally a discordant combination of frequencies.   That is, frequencies that do not consist of fundamentals and harmonics.  The frequencies of noise are usually spread somewhat uniformly and continuously over the frequency range of hearing.

  3. Music, artful arrangement of sounds across time. Noise, an acoustic, electric, or electronic signal consisting of a random mixture of wavelengths (see Sound).

  4. well music is.....music. noise it anything you can hear. so there's a big difference. technically music no matter what it sounds like....IS noise. but some people usually say that music is noise if they don't like it.....which i don't understand at all.

  5. The difference between music and noise is personal taste.

The Mars Volta is a prime example.  A lot of people see them as a weird noise band, while a lot of people also see them as musical geniuses where everything makes sense.

  6. Music has melody and a tune, it is appealing to listen to. Noise is wild and untamed, with no particular order. The two could be compared to harmony and chaos.

  7. Music for kids is noise, music for adults is classical music LOL

  8. diference is in the ear of a listener.

  9. music is organized noise that somehow seem to fit together. but noise is just random sounds that contradict eachother

  10. music produces a pleasing effect on our ears and mind as its 1)frequency is high and                                                               2)produces a regular waveform and                                          3)no sudden changes of amplitude or wavelength representing a musical sound

noise is rather unpleasant since its                                          1)frequency is low and has an                                                    2) irregular waveform and                                                           3)there are sudden changes in amplitude or wavelength

  11. Depends on who you ask.  Some composers, such as John Cage, thought that any sound was music.  Music is a combinations of sounds over a period of time, but so is noise.

  12. Now days, not much

  13. There is no difference. Music is just a form of noise, basically sound waves, and people call music the thing that is appealing to them. For example, the "emo screamo" bands could just be noise and chaos to some people, but to others it's the best thing in the world. So, music is just a category of noise that is appealing to each individual person, but put bluntly, music is noise, and noise is music, no difference except how the individual percepts it.

  14. music is melodious to listen and noise , u cant stand and listen
