  1. While taking a picture using a camera to get a close shot of the subject without moving physically closer, photographers use the optical zoom. Digital zoom is a part of digital cameras, and camcorders, which helps to crop the entire image, and then digitally enlarge the size of the viewfinder of the portion that is needed to zoom in on. 3. Optical zoom is with the lenses of the camera.  Digital zoom is the camera zooming in on the pixels themselves.  Optical zoom gives the best clarity while digital zoom give you a more grainy picture.

  4. optical zoom has the most clear zoom cus its actualy zooming in. Digital zoom isnt as  clear cus it just magnafies  the image thats their from the Optical zoom

  5. Optical zoom is the lens of your camera. The longer your lens the more zoom range you have. This is the only zoom I would use. It does not change the resolution or size of your photograph it just makes objects appear closer than they really are.

Digital zoom basically uses the camera software to zoom in on an object in your photo buy cropping the photograph. This means that you wont be able to blow up your picture very much. It reduces the resolution or size of your picture.
