  1. well paranormal phenomenon is what happens in this world we call reality and parapsychology is the study of paranormal events and the mind I believe

  2. Paranormal is an umbrella term used to cover everything that science can't explain, doesn't believe in, or chooses to ignore. Thus, UFOs, Big Foot, Loch Ness Monster, ESP, Aliens, Ghosts, etc. are all grouped together.

Parapsychology originally meant the study of Extra Sensory Perception (ESP) and psychokinesis(PK) when Dr. J.B. Rhine attempted to bring these into the lab to study them. Parapsychology is now defined as the scientific study of human abilities. Parapsychology does not study Big Foot (that's cryptozoology)) and many others topics.

    The Parapsychological Association

http://www.parapsych.org has been an affiliate of the

American Association for the Advancement of Science

http://www.aaas.org since 1969. (Unlike any skeptics organization)

    Michael John Weaver, M.S.

  3. Parapsychology is the scientific study of paranormal phenomena.

  4. The first is Silliness. The second is the ridiculous field of pseudo-science,that studies it.

  5. Paranormal phenomenon can not exist outside of someone's say so!

If you can prove that it does actually exist, then $1 million dollars is waiting for you at the James Randi Foundation if you can prove it under acceptable lab conditions!

Parapsychology is the naive accepting credulous study of this nonsense.

  6. Nothing, believers in both need the help of a psychologist.
