  1. They both mean arrogant, complaisant, disdainful, egotistic, lofty, lordly, patronizing, smart ***, snobbish, snooty, supercilious, superior, uppish, uppity. I looked both of the words up on www.thesaurus.com and they both say exactly the same thing. Hope this helps! :)

  3. Condescending is talking down to someone. Acting like you are superior.

    Patronizing is telling them you agree with them, just to appease them, when you really don't agree.

  13. To be condescending is to look down on someone else. To be patronizing is very similar, but is characterized by being apparently nice, but this kindness really only makes the superiority someone feels more apparent. Very close, but there is a distinction.
