Whats the difference between pig latin and latin ?

Latin was the language spoken in ancient Rome.  Pig Latin is a nonsense language, where you take the first consonant of a word, put it to the end of the word and add "-ay" to the end.  So Pig Latin becomes igpay atinlay.
