Whats the difference between pokemon diamond and pokemon pearl??

i have Pokemon pearl, and i really enjoyed it but now i wont to buy diamond.....should i bother or are they the same?? (is the course the same??)

DO NOT BUY DIAMOND NOW!!!   lol shouting... pokemon platinum is coming out in early 2009 which is going to better than both becuase it will have all of the version exclusives plus and updated story and giratina is now the main legendary and you can catch dialga and palkia as well

Yes, the course is the same. The Pokemon there are different (Palkia is in Pearl, Dialga is in Diamond, along with other different Pokemon) because there are version-only Pokemon for both games. For example, Scyther is only available to Diamond, unless you transfer Scyther to Pearl via trade. Glameow is exclusive to Pearl, unless you trade a Glameow to Diamond via WiFi.

The only difference is that some Pokemon are already available to you. Like Murkrow is only in Diamond whereas Misdreavus is only in Pearl.

the difference is just the pokemon. the rest is the same.  I prefer the diamond one because i like the pokemon on that one
