  1. First, the Pacific Sun is part of the P & O company who used to own Princess Cruises.  Carnival's parent company bought Princess Cruises, but Princess operates as its own company.  Carnival also owns Cunard, Holland-America, and several others.

The Pacific Sun is part of P& O which is an Australian company.  It offers a variety of different types of cruises.  Its an older ship - built in 1986- vs. the ship's American's are used to which are generally <10 years old, but you will still have a nice time.

Don't worry about what you've heard.  I agree with the person that said you're safer on a ship than in your car.  Just be smart.  The media has made cruises sound awful because they only print the sensational news like people who jump or are pushed off of cruise ships.  Usually you'll find these people were under the influence or decided this was the way to end their life.  Be sure to take out travel insurance to cover yourself for delays, lost luggage, medical, itinerary changes, etc.  The insurance usually also includes life insurance.  I never travel w/o getting travel insurance.  Suggest you look at Travelex or Travel Guard as they offer the same policies as the cruise lines but usually a lot less than what the cruise lines offer.

What a lovely way to spend your honeymoon!  Go to the following site.  This is your itinerary.  Click on any of the ports for a description.

  2. I live in Florida, I say this only to show the close proximity to the ports, and that it is my family vacation as well as the vacation of chose of most of my friends, some of who have been on over 10 cruises and one goes every 4 months (wish i could join them)

I am leaving in 5 days for our next cruise too with no worries and we are taking our children too. It is perfectly safe.  the odd of anything happening are greater in your car or on a plane than on the ship.

and as far as the "game going" let them think what they want, we don't drink or gamble in away shape or form and we had the time of our lives.

there is lots to do or nothing to do whatever you prefer. I like a little of both. I also recommend the dinning room every night, we were suggested this our first cruise and were very grateful.

and relax, and enjoy the vacation.

Oh and the difference in the ship lines is not a lot most just have a preference. I like Carnival, a friend likes Royal Caribbean, and another uses a different line every time. so go whit what you want but Carnival can be cheaper and once you go with one they will give you perks the next time too.
