  1. Vegetarians don't eat dead animals.  This means no meat and no slaughter byproducts like gelatin, rennet, meat broths, lard, etc...

    Vegans don't eat, use, wear, purchase or otherwise consume anything of animal origin, regardless of whether the animal died for it.  So, we avoid the same foods as vegetarians, but we also avoid eggs, dairy and honey.  We also don't wear leather, suede, wool, silk, fur, down, feathers or pearls.  We source cosmetics, toiletries and other consumer products that don't have animal ingredients and are not tested on animal.  And we don't support industries that exploit animals for entertainment, like circuses and rodeos.


  2. You must be a newbie to Yahoo!   Vegetarians eat dairy products and vegetables but no animals.  Vegans don't eat any dairy products, Vegans don't eat anything from animals and don't eat animals!   It's that simple!
