  1. Geology focuses on rocks. Types of rocks, how rocks are formed, and where certain rocks are found. This is usually used by archaeologists, certain geography careers, meteorologists, and people who study volcanoes.

Geography is much broader. Mainly it focuses on where things are, how to get there, and what obstacles you'll meet on the way. It includes Topography (mountains, rivers, and other physical features)

Human geography, (population, emigration immigration patterns, etc.) and mechanical geography. (building bridges and other buildings, determining if they are needed and whether using up natural resources is worth it)

  2. geology - the study of rocks

geography - the study of the continents and countries (including topographical terrain)
