  1. USB offers so much more versatility and mobility without the cost of pci hardware and installation fees.  USB is replaceable, less expensive, and portable.  No opening or closing of computer, which presents a risk every time the components are exposed to the outside environment.

  2. Well PCI is better i say that because its more powerfull and you will get better signal and more power toward your Modem/Router. I have installed on my PC is a PCI and some people may say that well i have USB 2.0 its not the same when you have PCI its coming direct from the mainboard which is alot of power but with USB its traveling within wires before it reaches your Device.

  3. well with the pci you install it inside the computer so you save a usb port for another peripheral or device(camera, printer, mp3 etc...) plus with some usb adapters once you disconect it you may need to reinstall the driver to reconnect it(that can be annoying especially if you lose the install cd). but if you install the pci adapter once windows installs the driver its there for life.

as far as performance goes there is no difference.

  4. Generally a pci connection will be faster.  This is only slight, though, and won't really have an effect if you're only using it for Internet browsing.
