  1. NOPE s***w the guy above me [mark j]

pardon me i dont mean to be r00d lol

but liquified screens are the way to go.

they get the best quality possible and who gives

a rats @$$ if theyre easier to clean you better keep it

    clean regardless haha

but lcds and plasmas can both be HDTVs!

LCDs are just better in the long run plus if your plasma screens bulbs/lights inside blow youre screwed and you have to replace those which is usually over half what you pay for the plasma itself, LCDs affordable and best way to go trust muah...

    i hope i helped!

  3. Plasma - Usinig Gas technology to produce picture.

    LCD - Using Liquid Cristal.

HDTV - HDTV is a screen that can produce 1 mega pixel.

  4. HDTV simply means a Television capable of displaying a high definition image.  There are three main forms of HDTV: Plasma, LCD, and Projection (Projo).

With the multitude of choices it may be hard to know what to buy, and a direct breakdown of the technologies does not really help much if you are not technical savvy.  All three are extremely well built televisions, really the choice comes down to other factors.

Plasma has by far the best picture quality of the three.  Both LCD an Projo have a light emitting source to help produce an image.  This means that there is constantly a light shining through the image.  This means it is nearly impossible to reproduce colors, more specifically blacks as effectively as a plasma which has no light source.  Plasma also has virtually no response time, which is what causes many LCD screens to "artifact", more commonly known as motion blur.  This being said there are some drawbacks to plasma displays.  One of the major drawbacks is the issue with "burn-in".  While many newer plasma televisions come with a technology called "Pixel Orbiter", there is still an issue where stationary images left on the screen for a period of time may retain a ghost image on the screen for a few days.  This limits many things you can do with your television, such as gaming.  Many video games have a stationary icon such as a menu, or a bar to track your health.  This non moving item after a period of time will burn into your television.  This also means you DO NOT want to use a plasma as a display for your computer.  Another drawback to plasma technology is the fact that it uses quite a bit more electricity.

  5. Well, first thing HD means high definition, any screen could be HD, computer screen, TV screen anything!!

Between Plasma and LCD mmm, each has pros and cons, but LCD is preferred, for many reasons.

  6. hdtv tends to be those big heavy crt tvs

if you are going to buy a tv i would go with plasma

lcd's get dead pixels which are annoying, lcd's are also harder to clean and easy to damage by doing so, a plasma has glass over the screen which is harder to scratch and easier to clean, i dont know why they stopped making plasmas they have the reliability of crt and the compact and lite weight of lcd, definetly go for plasma if you can find one.
